Update of H.R.5924: Emergency Nursing Supply Relief Act

govtrack.us has reported that this bill is aimed to provide relief for the shortage of nurses in the United States, and for other purposes. This bill is in the U.S. Congress originating in the House of Representatives ("H.R."). A bill must be passed by both the Houses and Senate and then be signed by the President before it becomes law. This bill was created in the 110th Congress, in 2007-2008.
This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress. Sessions of Congress last two years and at the end of each session all proposed bills and resolutions that haven't passed are cleared from the books. Members often reintroduce bills that did not come up for debate under an new number in the next session. 
Last action on this bill was on July 31, 2008: House of Judiciary: Forwarded by Subcommittee to Full Committee.

Hammond Law Group LLC on their blog mentioned that the legislation will need to be reintroduced if it is to be passed during this Congress It is expected that Rep.Wexler will reintroduce the legislation.
